Malaysia Commemorative Coins 2016 : Girl Guide 100th Anniversary
Bank Negara Malaysia issued commemorative coins in conjunction with the 100th Anniversary of Persatuan Pandu Puteri Malaysia (PPPM).
PPPM is committed to producing women of calibre, through the application of knowledge, skills and values of the Girl Guides in line with its vision of "taking the lead in developing the potential of girls and women for change."
The design description of the commemorative coins is as follows:
- Obverse Side of the Coin
The image of a reef knot, known as 'simpul buku sila' represents the long lasting friendship among the Girl Guides locally and internationally, and the event logo of 100th Anniversary of PPPM are depicted in the centre of the coin. The rope that surrounds the centre of the coin symbolises strength and bonding of the organisation. The words "PERSATUAN PANDU PUTERI MALAYSIA" appear on the upper circumference of the coin while the years '1916-2016' are inscribed on the lower circumference. - Reverse Side of the Coin
The words "BANK NEGARA MALAYSIA" as the issuing authority of the commemorative coin is featured on the upper circumference of the coin, while the face value of the coin is inscribed on the lower circumference. In between, the official logo of PPPM is featured on the coin.
The specifications of the commemorative coins are as follows:
- Coloured Silver Commemorative Coin (proof)
This proof coloured coin is made of fine silver with 99.9 purity and weighs 31.10 grams. It has a face value of RM10 and will be sold at RM212 a piece. The mintage quantity is 500 pieces. - Nordic Gold Brilliant Uncirculated (B.U) Commemorative Coin
The Nordic Gold (B.U) coin has a face value of RM1 and will be sold at RM10.60 each. The mintage quantity is 10,000 pieces.

Malaysia Commemorative Coins 2016 : Yayasan Sabah 50th Anniversary
Bank Negara Malaysia isissued commemorative coins in conjunction with the 50th Anniversary of Yayasan Sabah. Yayasan Sabah (the Sabah Foundation) was founded by the late Tun Datu Haji Mustapha bin Datu Harun on 10 May 1966. Its main objective is to enhance the socioeconomic standing of all Malaysians in Sabah, especially those in rural areas, through various education and economic development programmes.

- Coloured Silver Commemorative Coin (proof)

Malaysia Commemorative Coins 2016 : World Team Table Tennis Champianships
Bank Negara Malaysia issued commemorative coins in conjunction with the World Team Table Tennis Championships 2016. This international tournament has participation from more than 100 countries. It will be held from February 28 to March 6 at Malawati Stadium in Shah Alam, Selangor Darul Ehsan.
The specifications of the commemorative coins are as follows:
- Coloured Silver Commemorative Coin (proof)
This proof coloured coin is made of Fine Silver with 99.9 purity and weighs 31.10 grams. It has a face value of RM10 and will be sold at RM200 a piece. The mintage quantity is 500 pieces. - Copper Commemorative Coin
This coin is made of pure copper with 99.9 purity and weighs 130 grams. It has a face value of RM5 and will be auctioned at an indicative price of RM150. The mintage quantity is 300 pieces, of which 150 pieces are in matte finishing and the other 150 pieces are in mirror finishing (proof-like). - Nordic Gold Brilliant Uncirculated (B.U) Commemorative Coin
The Nordic Gold (B.U) coin has a face value of RM1 and will be sold at RM10 each. The mintage quantity is 10,000 pieces.

Malaysia Commemorative Coins 2015 : Masjid Negara 50th Anniversary
Bank Negara Malaysia issuedg commemorative coins in conjunction with the 50th Anniversary of Masjid Negara, which was officially opened on 27 August 1965. The opening ceremony was graced by the third Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Almarhum Tuanku Syed Putra ibni Almarhum Syed Hassan Jamalullail.
Specifications of the commemorative coins are as follows:
1. Gold Commemorative Coin (proof)
This proof coin is made of gold with 99.99 purity and weighs 7.96 grams. It has a face value of RM100 and will be sold at RM 1,800 a piece. The mintage quantity is 200 pieces.
2. Coloured Silver Commemorative Coin (proof)
This proof coloured coin is made of Fine Silver with 99.9 purity and weighs 31.10 grams. It has a face value of RM10 and will be sold at RM200 a piece. The mintage quantity is 2,000 pieces.
3. Nordic Gold Brilliant Uncirculated (B.U) Commemorative Coin
The Nordic Gold (B.U) coin has a face value of RM1 and will be sold at RM10 each. The mintage quantity is 25,000 pieces.

The design descriptive of the commemorative coins is as follows:
1. Obverse Side of the Coin
The centre of the coin shows the overall view of Masjid Negara. The words “JUBLI EMAS MASJID NEGARA” are on the upper circumference of the coin while “MASJID NEGARA” words in Jawi script are on the upper right side of the coin. The years 1965 – 2015 denoting 50 years of anniversary are inscribed on the lower circumference of the coin with the landscape of Masjid Negara.
2. Reverse Side of the Coin
The words “BANK NEGARA MALAYSIA” as the issuing authority of the commemorative coin is featured on the upper circumference of the coin, while the face value of the coin is inscribed on the lower circumference. In between, the event logo in conjunction with the 50th Anniversary of Masjid Negara is featured on the coin.
